Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 April 2026
These terms govern your use of QED Trucking. By registering an organisation with us, or by signing in as a driver or operator, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and your fleet.
The service
QED Trucking provides a web and mobile application that lets hauliers dispatch jobs, capture daily walkaround checks, log fuel and activity, record proof of delivery, and report per-job profitability. The service is delivered on a per-job metered subscription billed through Stripe.
Your account
- The operator who registers the organisation becomes the account owner and is responsible for billing and for the drivers added to the organisation.
- Drivers sign in with a work phone number and 4-digit PIN. Operators are responsible for keeping their PIN list current — revoke access as soon as a driver leaves.
- You must use valid and accurate information. Do not share credentials outside your organisation.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use QED Trucking for anything other than lawful transport operations
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes intellectual property
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or disassemble the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits or RLS policies
- Share driver data with third parties without their consent
Your content
You retain ownership of the data you put into the service — jobs, photos, signatures, PODs, driver profiles. You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display it in the course of providing the service. We do not train AI models on your data.
Fees and billing
- Subscription is charged via Stripe per job created, plus any base plan fees shown at sign-up.
- Fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice by email to the account owner.
- You can cancel at any time from the Settings page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Availability and support
We target 99.5% monthly uptime excluding planned maintenance. Support is email-only at present (target first response within 1 business day in UK / Ireland business hours).
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim under these terms is capped at the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (for example, lost profits or missed deliveries).
QED Trucking is a tool. Drivers and operators remain responsible for DVSA compliance, Working Time Directive adherence, and the safety of the vehicles they operate. The app helps you record these obligations — it does not discharge them.
Termination
You can delete your account from Settings. We can suspend or terminate an account for serious breaches of these terms or for non-payment, with notice where possible.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland. Any disputes go to the courts of Northern Ireland, except where UK consumer law gives you stronger rights.
